Yeah It's Green Wednesday!

The Vintage Journal is hosting Green Wednesday. We can either post something crafty in green or go green & repurpose/recycle I chose something that has both...

Not only is this Je Art banner green it was made from a recycling newspaper and a cereal box as the base. As well as old buttons painted gold and miscellaneous green beaded trim I turned into tassles. This was leftovers from another Interior Designer's project that normally would of found it's way in to the trash. Sue Taylor is a very generous lady and gave me the trim.
( I do free lance floral work for her...check out my slide show at the bottom of this blog if you wish)
I did this banner on one of my Artistic Friday's with Deb. Clearly I was in a green mood. Click on this Green Butterfly link in my side bar and visit other Artists who have posted their items for "Green Wednesday"

Shot Some Deer Today!

With my camera that is. I was working in my home office when my husband told me I 'gotta' see this. My bamboo blinds were down but I could see them. I felt giddy like a kid. They are so beautiful. So I got my camera ready and slowly lifted up the blind and took these shots from inside. I think they came out fairly well considering it was through the window and the screen. This was the scene in the backyard just around dusk. My husband seems to think they may be after the bark off of the willow branches. They may have also nibbled off the buds from our sapling fruit trees. But I think they feel safe. It is the first time I can remember in our 10 years of our being out here that we have had this many deer , this close up to the house. Two deer not picture in this group made it safely across the street into another field. Seems they do like to travel along these tree lines.

The Deadline Looms

Thank you all for visiting my blog and leaving such sweet and encouraging comments. I look forward to keeping in contact with as many of you as is humanly possible. I wish you all the best.
My One World One Heart giveaway cut off for leaving comments will beat 12:00 o'clock Midnight tonight and since Midnight changes per time zone around our world I will be allowing time for that. But then that is the cut off.
By tomorrow noon I will do the random counter thingy and will announce the winner. I plan to post your name on my blog and I will leave a comment in your newest blog post or I will e-mail you. This all depends on what info you have left me. Then you will have a 2 day window to communicate back with me so I can get your address info and what not. If no communication attempts are made I will do the random thing again and select a new winner.

Winter Snow Globes

Winter Snow globes was our swap theme for our once a month Art Group. Left to right is Debra Abel - Winter Woman, Nance Van Hoose - Snow Queen, Me - Snow Owl, Kim Baslock - shaker globe with Thomas Kinkade sceen, and Vikki Light - Snow Lady. It was quite a challenge to think outside of the box on this one. I apologize for the bad lighting on the picture. For better views check out "it's all good" Deb's blog and "her art nest" Nance's blog in my like able links.
Next month Mexico! We really need warm thoughts in this record breaking winter.
